Welcome to Alessano Ducal Palace

We are in Alessano, a small village in the heart of South Salento,
where peace and quiet prevail over the times, surrounded by traditions and history.
The detachment and privacy atmosphere that surrounds the villages of the hinterland, is strengthened from the summer bustle of Santa Maria di Leuca, Otranto and Gallipoli, mass tourism destinations situated a few kilometers distance from Alessano. Over there the chaos... here an "oasis of peace".


Palazzo Ducale is located in the old town square, Piazza Castello.
And here I am. From Rome and from Salento.
Many years ago I started receiving Italian and foreign friends of my friends coming to Salento.
Sun, red soil, breathtaking sunsets, wonderful sea, farms, excellent foods and the hospitality were often the unique purpose of the journey.
Then ... respect of traditions, art, culture, hospitality of the inhabitants, crafts, history, Baroque ..
The rumors run ... .. Everyone arrive here in search of the emotions spread from an ideal place for let yourself be surprised.
Many years ago, people living here were called Apulian, now they are called Salentini.
Here the path this land has made.


In the awareness of being received in a private historic home, where the past is respected and traditions are highlighted, the present life is shared, breathing … homely atmosphere.
This is my way to welcome guests, as if they were friends, waiting for them with a smile and making them part of a past that harmoniously joined to a daily life up with the times.
